Semo Phone

Semo reveals truth. Semo Phone gives it a calm place to be read.

Everything you need. Nothing to distract. The e-ink display reflects ambient light the way paper does: no backlight, no blue light, readable in full sunlight. A warm frontlight makes it readable in the dark too. Without the glow, the flicker and the infinite scroll, screen time can become intentional, not compulsive. E-ink only uses power when the screen changes, so the battery lasts multiple days.

Not less technology. Better technology. You can still call, message, navigate and use apps. What is redesigned is the layer that normally works against you: the e-ink hardware means no glowing screen, and SemoOS is designed to remove the dark patterns. The aim is full connectivity with none of the mechanisms built to trap your attention. It is for the focused professional, the conscious parent looking for a first phone without the dopamine design, and the digital minimalist.

This is where the two parts of Semo meet. With Semo Shopping a tap away, you can scan products, see their impacts and choose with your values. The phone doesn’t just help you pay attention better. It connects you to a world that values what you pay attention to.

Your phone should work for you. Not the other way around. Attention is yours: Semo does not build for engagement metrics. The dominant smartphone model isn’t a law of nature. It’s a design decision. Semo Phone is a different one: a gateway to the Semo ecosystem, and to a different relationship with your device.

SemoOS takes that control further: a full-stack digital environment to enhance your non-digital life. An independent, distraction-free operating system for the Semo Phone. Built to bring messaging, information, Semo Shopping, Semo Vote and the wider Semo ecosystem together without competing for your attention. Its gateway functions are scanning, voting, value comparison, wallet, messaging and news. It is designed to remove what is built to maximise your screen time: no algorithmic feeds, no manipulative notification defaults and no tracking-based personalisation.

Semo Phone runs Android 17 by default. SemoOS launches in beta at 100.000 sales and is guaranteed from 1.000.000 sales. So every Semo Phone sold counts towards SemoOS.
