Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Semo Vote or Semo Shopping ("the Apps"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps.

2. Description of Service

Semo Network provides two mobile applications: Semo Vote for collective decision-making, and Semo Shopping for conscious shopping based on transparency and sustainability scores. Both Apps are in pilot phase and features may change.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Apps to:

• Submit false or misleading product information
• Harm other users, stewards or third parties
• Undermine the integrity of voting or scoring mechanisms
• Conduct illegal activities
• Reverse-engineer the Apps or circumvent security controls

5. User-Generated Content

When you submit product information, reviews, or votes, you grant Semo Network a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content to operate the open dataset that powers the scores. You retain ownership of your content.

6. Intellectual Property

The Apps, their source code, design and trademarks are owned by Semo Network. The published scoring dataset is open and accessible under the principles of the Semo Constitution.

7. Disclaimer

The Apps are provided "as is" without warranties. Impact scores are guidance, not absolute truth — Semo Network is not liable for decisions you make based on data shown in the Apps.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Apps or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced through the Apps or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the competent court of the Netherlands unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
