Niek leads partnerships for Semo Network and is the co-founder of Better Flags and Hemptex, which he started in 2026 to replace plastic-heavy products with fully natural, circular alternatives — beginning with the world's first flag brand built on biodegradable (CiCLO) material, now rolling out internationally with partners such as Flags For Good.

He works at the intersection of sustainability, entrepreneurship and the regenerative economy, and brings that systems lens to how organisations join Semo.
